Cecil S. Canter, 86, widower of Lucille Gentry Canter, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Brookdale Richmond Place Nursing Home in Lexington, KY. He was born February 17, 1932 in Irvine, KY to the late Simpson and Elizabeth Canter. Cecil worked for Jackie Brown and Jimmy Jack Lewis in the farming industry.
Cecil is survived by his two sons, Harold Canter (Debbie), Donnie Canter, both of Versailles, sister, Rachel Hall, of Michigan, one daughter-in-law, Marilyn Canter, of Irvine, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Cecil was preceded in death by a son, Lester Canter, and seven siblings.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home.
