BiographyShirley Creth Wesley, 79, retired Bursar for Kentucky State University where she worked for 27 years, died Sunday, February 28 at her home. Born in Woodford County, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Mary Caise Creth. Shirley was an active long time member of the St. Paul AME Church in Versailles. Survivors include a daughter, Crystal Wesley-Laskey and her husband Jim of Atlanta, GA, three sisters, Christine C. (Danny Sr.) Collins, Betty C. Wesley, and Juanita O. Creth, all of Versailles, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Estelle Middleton, Leola Estill, Eva Collins, Ethel Kennedy, Gladys Schafer, and a brother, John Creth. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, March 4 at St. Paul AME Church with Rev. James Smith and Rev. Robert Strode officiating. Burial will follow in Steele Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis Collins, Charles Brown III, Glenn Wilson Jr., Leroy Howard, Bert Stinson, and George Henry Troxler. Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Depp II, Norman Morton, Zachary Dockies, and William Douglas Smith. Visitation is from 11 am to 1 pm Thursday, at the church. Visitation
