Earl A. Roberts, 84, husband of Bonnie Lee Roberts, died Thursday, February 18 at Taylor Manor Nursing Home. A Versailles native, he was the only child of the late William A. and Nell Prather Roberts and was a member of the First Christian Church. Earl was a Versailles High School and served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He returned from service to graduate from Transylvania University in 1948. He was a Kentucky Colonel and Certified Life Underwriter and had retired from State Farm Insurance in Fredrick, MD where he was Deputy Regional Vice President. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Bonnie "Boo" Primozich and her husband Frank of Salem, OR, one son, John W. Roberts and his wife Maggie of Springfield, OH, a son-in-law, William "Bill" High of Florida, and four grandchildren, Nicole Roberts, John Tyler Roberts, Tony Primozich, and Wendy Primozich. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Roberts High.
