| Zane Taylor Young, 81, retired Civil Engineer for HMB Engineers in Frankfort and former state employee for the state of Kentucky, died Wednesday, January 13, at his home. Born at Farmers, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Vivian Evans Lewis and Zachary Taylor Young, and was a member of the Morehead Christian Church. Mr. Young was a U. S. Army veteran and a 1950 graduate of the University of Kentucky. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Walker Young of Versailles, two daughters, Viki Lynn Young of Lexington, Kimberly Ann Young (Mrs. Ray Easton) of New Orleans, LA, and a sister, Patricia Young Ballard of Winchester. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm, Saturday, January 16 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Melissa Sevier officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell Waits, Jeff Roark, Jeff Jones, Tim Pyles, Todd Walker, and Hal Ballard. Visitation is from 4 to 7 pm Friday, January 15 at the funeral home.
